Terms of service

Bracketeer is provided by Lakeland Software, trading as Bracketeer (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Bracketeer, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

You sign in with Google. To create an account you must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, which is 18 in Ireland. Guests who only view a results page don't need an account.

You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at support@playbracketeer.com if you think someone else has used it.

Bracketeer is for organising casual knockout tournaments. You're responsible for the content you enter, including tournament, player and team names. You must have permission to use other people's names, or their parent's permission for a child.

Anyone with a tournament's public link can see its results page, so only enter what you're happy for the people you share it with to see.

You agree not to:

• enter content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful or infringes someone's rights;
• try to access other people's accounts or tournaments;
• disrupt, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service;
• scrape or copy the service by automated means.

One token starts one tournament. Every new account gets 1 free token. After that you can buy token packs at the prices shown on the Get tokens page. Prices are in euro, and payment is taken by Stripe at checkout.

• Tokens never expire.
• A token is used when you start a tournament. Setting up a draft doesn't use one.
• Once used, a token isn't refunded, including if you later delete the tournament.
• Tokens have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged, and are lost if you delete your account.

Changing your mind: if you ask within 14 days of buying a pack and none of its tokens have been used, we'll refund it in full. Contact us at support@playbracketeer.com. Starting a tournament supplies it straight away, so a token that has been used can't be withdrawn.

Draft tournaments are deleted automatically 30 days after they're created. You can delete a tournament or your whole account at any time. Deletion is permanent, public result links stop working straight away, and deleting your account forfeits any unused tokens.

We work to keep Bracketeer running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we plan to shut the service down, we'll give account holders reasonable notice.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You can stop using Bracketeer and delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections of your home country.

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. For significant changes, we'll let account holders know by email. Questions? Contact us at support@playbracketeer.com.
